Procedures Pre-writing
1) Teacher divides pupils into 4 groups. 2) Teacher distributes envelopes containing riddles. 3) Pupils discuss the answers among group members. 4) Teacher displays pictures through PPT. Pupils with the correct riddle will read their riddles. 5) Teacher thought brainstorms pupils on adjectives found in the riddles. 6) Pupils are asked to read a handout on Dragon Fruit. 7) They complete a worksheet by transferring the information from the handout given. 8) Pupils present their work.
Writing
1) Pupils use the worksheet as guide to write a paragraph on the Watermelon using the given notes. 2) In pairs, pupils exchange their work with their friend. They read and edit their friends writing. 3) Pupils then return their friends work. Pupils rewrite their work based on the feedback given. Post Writing
1) Pupils work in groups to come up with riddles on the theme of local fruit. 2) Groups present their riddles. 3) The other groups discuss the answers. 4) Pupils are asked to look up for more information on a fruit of their choice and create a scrap book.
