ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

This project has enlightened me on the practical aspects and the operational methodologies apart from the theoretical knowledge that I gained about training on soft skills with special emphasis on BPO Sector.

I am deeply indebted to Mr. Shyam Raja Edida, Managing Director, who has given me this unique opportunity to work with the organization. My project guide, Ms. Sujatha Ramakrishna, HR Director, in spite of her busy office schedule, has helped me in every possible way and this project could not have been completed without her help.

I would like to thank Ms. Kalyani HR Executive, for having discussion sessions and for the support she gave me in this project by explaining the operational procedures and clearing our doubts.

In the profession like BPO, the candidate should be perfect in their listening skills wherein he/ she needs to deal with the customers over the phone, there is no face-to-face

communication. For this the person who is engaged in the conversation should convince and satisfy the customer. It is easy to say what is going on in the BPO but when it comes to practicality it is very hard. Because the person on the either sides dont know each other only they know is the voice, which is the only medium of communication. There is lot of criticality involved in it. The person who is in this business he should be perfect in talking and listening, it is communication skill and interpersonal skill. To make the person perfect in this business one should be trained in SOFT SKILLS.

In this training the candidates will be trained on the various aspects like communications, emotion stability, convincing skills and most importantly the people skills, in which the person is taught how to deal with the people. The training process will also include the role-plays; mock interviews

where in the trainee will get the feel of the BPO operations.

The main goal of the project is know the impact of training on soft skills with reference to IT Enabled BPO. With this project I will mainly know about the importance of soft skills, and will come to know about the training needs for a person to work in a BPO.
