*Reflection on this weekly log (include feedback from coach and mentor): On PTSO- This week, I sent an email to all staff about the establishment of the Parent-Teacher-Student Organization (PTSO). I mentioned in my email that the PTSO is a response to the staffs request to have more parents involved at Bertie Middle School that they indicated in the 2010 Teacher Working Conditions Survey. Mr. Newkirk and I had started planning before the holiday break regarding the steps that should be done to make this endeavor successful, but we know that we can only do so much without the full support and participation of the staff. In this connection, we requested if we could address the whole staff on Monday, Jan. 9, and explain further the rationale of the creation of the PTSO and present incoming events.
