Total Number of rounds to be played, date and timings of the remaining rounds and time of prize distribution, tie break system and other regulations will be decided at players meeting to be held on 12th May 2012 at 10.00am. NOTE: Category prizes will not be shared & will be given as per the norms settled by CAI. Cut off dates for age category is 01.01.2012

RULES & REGULATIONS:

Entry Fee: Entry Forms along with Entry Fee of Rs.7,00/- payable by Demand Draft in favour of KERALA CHESS ASSOCIATION payable at CALICUT , should be sent to Mr. P I SOMASUNDARAN, SECRETARY, ALL KERALA CHESS ASSOCIATION, FISCHER CHESS ACADEMY, POST) NALLALAM, AREEKKAD, CALICUT 673027.. Last Date of Entry: Entry should be sent on or before 2nd May , 2012. However, Entry will be accepted up to 4.00 p.m. on 11.05.2012 with a late fee of Rs. 300/-. Entry will be accepted on first come first serve basis depending upon the sitting capacity.

Accommodation: Free accommodation will be provided to the out station players who register their names along
with entry fee of Rs.700/- on or before 2nd May , 2012. Chess Clocks: Players are requested to bring their own Chess Clocks. Tournament Rules: Tournament will be conducted as in Swiss System as per the International Chess Rules known as FIDE Laws of Chess. The total number of rounds and timings of the tournament will be decided at players meeting scheduled on 12.05.2012 (Saturday) at 10.00 a.m. Tie Break: In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall apply. The main cash prizes will be shared among the players in the same score group. However the Category prizes will not be shared

Important Instructions:
(i) Use of electronic devices inside the tournament hall is strictly prohibited. Mobiles, even in switch off mode, will not be allowed inside the tournament hall and players found violating this instruction will loose their point. Use of Alcohol, Cigarette, Pan Masala / Gutka, Gambling, etc. inside the Venue and Place of Accommodation are strictly prohibited and will tantamount as indiscipline.

Payment of Entry fee : Entry fee can be paid either by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Kerala Chess Association payable at Calicut.(Kozhikode), or be remitted to the SB A/c. No. 67150112692 ( IFSC SBTR 0000 456 ) of STATE BANK OF TRVANCORE, MEENCHANTHA BRANCH,Calicut maintained in the name of KERALA CHESS ASSOCIATION
