I am a Ba (Hons) graduate seeking a long term career in teaching. I have the ability to motivate young people of all ages in developing them as individuals, giving them the opportunity to prosper in what they are passionate about educationally. My short term aim is to train and complete a PGCE teaching course, whilst getting experience as a teachers assistant in order to achieve my long standing ambition of becoming a Secondary school Drama teacher.

TEAMWORK

Great ability to take leaderships roles when in groups as I was given to opportunity whilst on a teaching placement to lead workshops and exercises with students to build confidence skills. Worked with students in the afterschool drama clubs during my placement. I have taken on the role as director as part of my 2nd year degree, producing a 10 minute play of my choice. It gave me the chance to make decisions of my own and produce a unique performance. Able to motive individuals is a key skills in which I carry. I am able to successfully create an optimistic atmosphere amongst groups and individuals, using positive exercises and games to build a rapport within the group. Attained experience working with teaching staff in schools, given the chance to create exercises for the students as well as pitching in my own ideas.

ORGANISATION SKILLS Excellent time management Daily objectives always prepared before hand in order to highly achieve them. Experienced in managing and coordinating large groups especially in building successful workshops.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent grammar in speech Have experience in working with people of all ages with the ability to understand and be opinionated when necessary. Exceptional confidence expressing ideas clearly and coherently to mature and younger groups of people, having got the experience from directing and working with students in schools. As a part time sales assistant I have been able build up on great persuasion skills meeting different kinds of people on a daily basis.

TECHNICAL SKILLS IT literate in computing software. Proficient in using PC and Mac, confident using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

(November 2011 February 2012) St Angelas Ursuline School Teachers Assistant My role here was an assistant teacher. I assisted during lessons, predominantly working with key stage four yr11 students working on their GCSE performances. I paid close attention to their progress and assisted them in developing their skills in acting and working as a team in order to achieve the best they could. I also worked with year 7s and was giving the opportunity to cover a lesson sticking using the scheme of work that the school provided. This placement broadened my knowledge on classroom management, organisational skills and the difference between teaching key stage 3 and 4 students. (April 2011) Hillingdon Tuition Centre Community Project I was a member of a group of six students who took on the challenge of doing a Community project as part of the 2nd of my degree. We worked with Key stage four students in a PRU (pupils referral unit). As a group we created workshops and exercises that would help them progress in the future with their career aspirations. The individual and group workshops were designed to build confidence and social skills in order to progress in their chosen industry. This was achieved as every student left the sessions feeling more confident and positive in what they wanted to do, some decided to go on into college ,get a part time job and start apprenticeships.
