The A in ART has been tilted to suggest energy and activity and the artistic spirit. We wanted to bring more of that into the schools system, while taking some time to update the colors as well.

We did not scrap much of the existing brand though. Note that we still keep the same fonts and that the map mark plays a part in our waynding system. As for the colors though, we chose the dark grey with the bright, energetic, but gender-neutral coral.

This large, welcoming sign will be located at several spots around the perimeter of campus. Its letters project off of the iron base that mimics the map-shape.

Lamps will also help to identify the campus, while also lighting streets that students walk on at night to help keep them safe! These lamps are 12 feet 10 inches tall, and are accented with a coral color band that juts off from the light.

At certain heavy-traffic areas, like in front of the ceramics building, we have placed crosswalks. These would also connect buildings that are not part of the main campus at intersections like 43rd and oak and by the h&r artspace.

For directional signage, these posts will be placed throughout the campus. Each Stands 7 foot 1 inch tall and has iron-wrought (pronounced rot) arrows protruding in the direction of each location. These fun arrows add a bit of playfulness and dimentionality to the sign while maintaining readability. They do not rotate.

In addition to the sign-posts, this waynding system also has the added bonus of ground directionals. These are, as we said, a bonus, as they lose some functionality in the event of snowfall.

Traffic and regulatory signs are held by poles that match the white and coral striped pattern of the crosswalk. The pattern is randomized and unique to each pole.

The building directory will imitate the same appearance as the outdoor building identication through the small rods that hold it up from the base. But it is actually mounted on a piece of glass. the numbers shown in white where would be debossed, or cut out. The base of the directory grabs your attention with the accent coral color.
