It is very important for teachers to be knowledgeable about the technology that will be in their classrooms because they need to understand how to use it to better teach the students. If the teachers dont know what they are doing, the students cant properly learn from them. Students look at their teachers as role models and teachers should feel confident that they are using every resource possible to assist their students. I think understanding the technology that will be used is a necessity so fun and exciting learning experiences will take place. Teachers need to be included in the decision making process so they can get what they really need for their classrooms. If teachers arent included in the process, they probably wont receive the kinds of technology that is essential for helping them teach and showing the students the thrilling new ways of the world. Society is associated with technology in more ways than imaginable and children need to comprehend its meaning and how to deal with it on a daily basis. They also need to know how to use it in the most effective way and teachers can assist them if they have the right types of technology in their classrooms. Teachers who arent included in the decision making process at their school end up with useless technology or none at all. People who arent in the classroom actually teaching cant understand exactly what it is that teachers would benefit from the most. Teachers must get their ideas out to the correct members of the educational system so they receive the best funding and technology for their classrooms and the students.
