SYNERGY CORPORATE CRICKET LEAGUE SCCL VISION 20-20

(a) SSGML Inaugural Annual Invitation T20 Rolling Cup 2012:- This tournament is scheduled to start in September 2012 and 100 Corporate Cricket Teams are likely to participate in this knock out T20 cricket tournament. This is a invitation tournament for the SSGML member teams and hence there is no entry fee. (b) Corporate Divisions: - After our inaugural SSGML T20 Invitation Tournament we plan to segregate the teams based on the team rankings arrived at in this tournament. In line with the team rankings the top 32 teams will be placed in the A division, Next 32 in the B division and the remaining corporate teams will be in the C division. Next year onwards The SSGML Corporate T20 Invitation Tournament will be conducted separately for the teams in the A, B, & C divisions. Every year 2 top performing teams move to the next level. The toppers of the A division will move to the Open Category and this is optional. The corporate teams can exercise the option to either remain in the same division or move up. (c) Corporate Premier League - CPL:- Apart from the invitation T20 benefits we also plan to introduce the player auctions for the best performing 128 players of the SSGML T20 tournament and conduct the Corporate Premier League( In line with the IPL format). (d) Champions of Champions - COC:- Subsequent to the inaugural T20 SSGML corporate tournament we also plan to conduct a SSGML Open T20 Cricket Tournament. This open tournament will be amongst a total of 32 cricket teams. The top 8 corporate teams from the SSGML Annual Corporate T20 Rolling trophy will participate along with the other 24 invited teams in this open tournament. In the COC open T20 tournament the player participation restrictions will be lifted. (e) South Zone Corporate Annual T20 Rolling Trophy:- A Combined Corporate City Cricket Team would be selected from the top performing players of the SSGML Corporate T20 tournament. The city corporate teams will clash for the South Zone(Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai & Kochi) Corporate T20 Rolling Trophy.

Team Qualification Options for participation in SCCL

Option A: - Any 10 players of the corporate cricket team have to be the members of the SSGML Super Group. This is a onetime permanent qualification and the teams qualified as per this option will participate every year in all the SCCL tournaments. Option B:- Synergy Challenger Double Wicket Tournament This tournament is divided into 4 phases. Phase 1:- First 25 teams to qualify with 4 members of Super Group(Rs. 1 lac annual premium) or 8 members of Power Group(Rs. 50,000/- annual premium) will participate in phase 1 of the Synergy Challenger Double Wicket Tournament. Phase 2:- Next 25 teams to qualify with 5 members of Super Group(Rs. 1 lac annual premium) or 10 members of Power Group(Rs. 50,000/- annual premium) will participate in phase 2 of the Synergy Challenger Double Wicket Tournament. Phase 3:- Next 50 teams(51 to 75) to qualify with 6 members of Super Group(Rs. 1 lac annual premium) or 12 members of Power Group(Rs. 50,000/- annual premium) will participate in phase 3 of the Synergy Challenger Double Wicket Tournament. Enroll the phasewise prerequisite no of players as Super / Power Group Members to participate in the Double Wicket Challenger Series. If you win the tournament you become a permanent SCCL team member and well waive off the remaining player memberships.

SYNERGY DOUBLE WICKET CHALLENGER SERIES - RULES

General Rules
Teams will be divided into 2 pools. If necessary, Bye slots will be added to fill the remaining spots. The losing team of every match gets eliminated from the pool/tournament. Two teams not eliminated from each pool will advance to semi-finals. Only one new ball per match not for each innings. Each team will consist of 4 players, 2 Batsmen & 2 Bowlers (One Pace/Medium Pace Bowler & One Spinner). The players names have to be given before the draws are taken. Teams cannot change its players once the draws are taken. Each innings shall consist of 4 Overs in its entirety. A complete match consists of 8 Overs in total. No LBWs will be awarded and No Leg Byes. Free-Hit is allowed. Refer Free-Hit rules. During leg-bye scenario, run-outs will NOT be awarded but stumping can be appealed. Fielders will be formed from volunteers or participating teams based on the schedule. Teams cannot bring their own substitute fielders or substitute bowlers. All teams may be required to stay on the field most likely up to 3 hours per session. The only field restriction is, NO more than 4 fielders are allowed on leg side boundary. All other standard ICC cricket rules apply Umpire decision is final. Have fun and avoid conflicts. In case of any conflicts, organizing committee will have the final say. In case of weather, the matches will be continued on a next available day.

Bowling Rules
Bowling team players must bowl at least 2 Overs in total. Entire innings is 4 overs in total. At the choice of the bowling team, any player(s) from the field may be chosen to bowl maximum of two overs, provided the bowler is willing to bowl . There is no guarantee anyone would be willing to bowl, in this case bowling team players must bowl all overs. For EVERY over bowled by a substitute bowler, 4 bonus runs will be awarded to batting team

Batting Rules
The loss of a wicket will result in a reduction of 4 runs for every dismissal. Team not losing any wicket will be rewarded with 4 bonus runs No Bye-Runners are allowed except for an injury during the match. Each team will complete batting all 4 Overs irrespective of number of dismissals. If the ball pitches twice before the stumps it will be considered dead ball. Wide and No balls will NOT be rebowled except in the last over. No-balls and wide will constitute TWO additional runs. Anything on the leg side is wide even when it is very close to the stumps. A No-Ball will be called for the following. Over stepping - when the bowlers front leg COMPLETELY crosses front/side crease line. For Height - full toss above waist or over-the-shoulder after pitching. No onebouncer rule. No Guard mentioned. Invalid bowling action. Violating fielding restriction (Max 4 fielders on leg side boundary). After every No Ball due to OVER STEPPING a free hit is allowed. Batsmen cannot be dismissed during a free hit except for run-out or stumping. Free hit ball will be counted following normal rules. Wide or No-Ball bowled during the free hit will still be counted as one valid ball except in last over. Free Hit prevails for the next ball either bowled in the same over or next over. If a No-Ball is bowled in the last ball of an over, the first ball of the next over will be a free hit.

Choosing the winner of the match

The "Net Runs" scored will be tallied for each team.

The Team with Highest Net Runs Wins the Tournament.

The other team rankings will be based on the following parameters:(a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) Highest Net Runs. Run Rate Total No of dismissals while bowling & batting. Bowling economy rate. Total no of boundaries(4s & 6s) conceded and hit. Over and above all the cricketing spirit displayed. The panel decision will be final.

In case of tie on Net Runs, T20 SUPER OVER will be conducted until a winner is decided. Net Runs = Total Runs scored+ Bonus runs for not losing wicket+ Bonus runs for usage of substitute bowlers Total runs deducted for dismissals
