AsuccessfulKNABoardofDirectorsreliesonandisrepresentsdiverseandvariedneighborhoodintrestsandconcerns.TheKNA welcomesyouasyoungorold,maleorfemale,neworlongtimeresident,experiencedvolunteerornovicetocommunityservice.We valueyourinputandaskthatyouconsidergettinginvolvedwiththeKNABoardorvolunteerinourneighborhood. Asthefullnessofspringhasfinallyreachedus,theeverexpandingactivitiesand opportunitiesinourKentonneighborhoodcontinuetogrow.Focusingonthe neighborhoodsfutureisimportantforallKentonresidentsandwearefortunateto havesomanyfoundationsuponwhichwecancontinuetobuild.ThenewKenton CommunityGardenwillcertainlybecomeagatheringpointforallneighborsandwill spawnnewcommunitysharing.Thegrowingmutualsupportbetweenthe neighborhoodandKentonBusinessAssociation(KBA)isbringingastronger businesscommunitythatwilloffermorediversityofgoods,servicesand employmentopportunities.TherallyingcallfromsomanyneighborstotheBureau ofDevelopmentalServiceshelpedimmenselyintheremovalofthederelicthouses onNArgyleandisanexcellentexampleofhowwecanpulltogethertocreateresults. AndKentoncouldntbeluckierwiththestartingofthenewKentonPortland FarmersMarketonJune1st.Thegoodenergywevebeenbuildingwillkeep regeneratingaswecontinuetoshareinourcommunitybuildingandneighborhood pride.
