Usingtheseexamplesoflegislation,itwaspossibleforonetobeacitizenoftwo statesatbirth;forexample,achildbornintheStateofConnecticutwhosefather wasacitizenoftheStateofVirginia;anotherexample,achildbornintheStateof Virginiawhosefatherormother,orbothwerecitizensoftheStateofConnecticut. Usingtheseexamplesoflegislation,itwaspossibleforonetobeacitizenofthree statesatbirth,achildbornintheStateofNewYorkwhosefatherwasacitizenof theStateofVirginiaandwhosemotherwasacitizenoftheStateofConnecticut.
