Teaching & Research Experience (i) Requisite recognised postgraduate qualification in the subject. (ii) Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognised medical college as resident/ Registrar/Demonstrator/ Tutor. 2. Qualification for the post of Asstt. Professor, Deptt. of Anesthesia M.D. (Anesthesiology)/M.S. (Anesthesiology) Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post-graduation course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject. Note: Asstt. Professor /Lecturers in medical subjects with MBBS qualification will be considered but they will not be promoted for the post of Associate Professor /Reader as per DCI letter No. DE-Comp/2009/A-7959 dated 15 December 2009.

Non-Teaching posts 1. Qualification for the post of Asstt. Librarian (Scale/PB Rs. 15600-39100 with GP 6000) i. A Masters Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. ii. Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Director of Physical Education/ College Director of Physical Education & sports. 2. Qualification for the post of Dental Technicians (Scale/PB Rs. 9300-34800 with GP 4200) Diploma from a recognized institution and registered with the State Council. Experience of a Dental College will be preferred. Qualification for the post of Dental Hygienist (Scale/PB Rs. 9300-34800 with GP 4200) Diploma from a recognized institution and registered with the State Council. Experience of a Dental College will be preferred. Qualification for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical/Maint.) (Scale/PB Rs. 930034800 with GP 4200) Must hold Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute with at least 2-3 years experience as a Jr. Engineer in an Institution of repute. Experience of maintenance and construction of buildings and roads after obtaining Diploma. OR Degree in Electrical Engg. Centre for Management Studies Qualification for the post of Professor in Management Studies (X Plan-SG) Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Masters Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant discipline or consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by the AICTE / UGC; OR First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost and works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body. #AJK-Mass Communication Research Centre Teaching positions (X Plan-SG) #Qualification for the post of Associate Professor (Communication Theory and Research) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Mass Communication / Journalism. The Ph. D. thesis work should be in the relevant area of the subject. A Masters Degree in Mass Communication / Journalism with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/Industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out by UGC in Appendix III of their Notification No. F.3-1/2009 dated 30 June 2010.

2. #Qualification for the post of Asstt. Professor (Development Communication) Essential: i. Good academic record as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree in Development Communication from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university in Development Communication. ii. Thorough knowledge of the issues and policies related to the social sector.

Desirable: (i) Teaching / Professional experience in Development Communication in a recognized institution/ NGO/ industry Note: NET is not an essential requirement for this position as NET is not conducted by UGC in Development Communication. (i) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. (ii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process. (iii) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out by UGC in Appendix III of their Notification No. F.3-1/2009 dated 30 June 2010. OR B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the field of Radio with at least 13 years of professional experience in a national/international radio broadcasting organization, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the discipline of radio journalism/radio broadcasting, to be substantiated by credentials. Good academic record as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree from an Indian University in Mass Communication or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with Television Production as a core subject. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Desirable: (i) Teaching / Professional experience in Television/Video Production in a recognized institution/ organization/ industry. (ii) Familiarity with the latest trends in the profession / industry and working knowledge of single/ multi camera SD/HD TV production and equipment. The candidate should be able to operate professional video cameras and edit video on professional softwares like Avid or FCP.

Good academic record as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree in Mass Communication from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with film production (Cinematography and Film Editing) as a core subject. iii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. Desirable: (i) Teaching / Professional experience in Cinematography/Film Editing in a recognized institution/ organization/ industry. (ii) Familiarity with the latest trends in the profession / industry and working knowledge of 16 /35 mm film cameras/equipment and editing softwares used for film editing.

Good academic record as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree in Mass Communication/Journalism from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with Photo Journalism/Still Photography as a core subject. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. Note: Preference will be given to the candidates having Post Graduate Degree in Public Administration/History/Geography/Political Science. Desirable: 1. Experience of coaching civil services and other services aspirants for a minimum of seven years. 2. Ability to teach in Hindi and Urdu also.

Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy, Dr. K.R. Narayanan Centre for Dalit and Minorities Studies (temporary till project last) 1. Qualification for the post of Professor A. (i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. (iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process. (iv)A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulation 2010 in Appendix III. OR B. Qualification for the post of Research Associate (Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + HRA) M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science/Economics/Sociology: Related publications. Desirable specialization: The Programme for Studies in Discriminations and Exclusion (PSDE) is primarily a research programme and the incumbent would convene and conduct the research programmes and activities undertaken and specialization in any branch of Social Sciences with special focus on the Dalits, the Minorities and Tribals.
