edu FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ALEXANDRA DEMERS PROMOTED AS ASSOCIATE AT BURSONMARSTELLER CHICAGO (Feb. 14, 2012) Since joining the firm in July of 2010, Ms. Alexandra Demers has brought a consistent pattern of achievement and success as the Client Executive of Brand Marketing Practice at Burson-Marsteller. As a result of her exemplary past performance and confidence in her future success, Burson-Marsteller is pleased to announce that Ms. Demers has been promoted to the position of Associate; effective immediately. Burson-Marsteller welcomed Ms. Demers in the summer of 2010 when she began her work as Client Executive for Brand Marketing Practice. Her extensive prior experience and immediate integration into the company made for an instantly successful career. Ms. Demers was able to secure an impressive placement on the Today Show, which proved very profitable for her client. She also executed over 50 media interviews and store tours for IKEA and overhauled the social media presence for Celestial Seasonings. Her accomplishments certainly did not go unnoticed and in March of 2011, Ms. Demers was awarded the Burson-Marsteller Rising Tide Award for raising the companys local visibility. Demers/2 to a multitude of public relations projects, and developed her talent for collaborating, organizing, and ensuring efficiency. She also quickly gained experience managing, and launching a $1 M PR plan prior to her college graduation. Ms. Demers received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication & Politics from Lake Forest College in the spring of 2008. Upon completing her degree, Ms. Demers joined Murphy Knott Public Relations, Inc. where she functioned as an Assistant Account Executive for just over two years. While there, Ms. Demers worked to increase media awareness for her clients by targeting both traditional and new social media outlets.

Alexandra Demers is also a member of a number of Chicago Philanthropic Organizations and Professional Associations. A few of these include the Junior League of Chicago (since 2009), Public Relations Society of America (National and Chicago Chapters since 2007), and Public Relations Society of America Young Professionals Network (YPN) of Chicago Board Member (since 2012).
