ABSTRACT
Well the time for the whole project is approximate three month and the system was to be designed for a legacy based paper work Firm. So, I had a glimpse on the different functionalities that my Goa Tourism can provide to the users. Various Modules and Procedures of the project are dealt with in a detail mode to understand the requirement of the project. I am using many different techniques to find the basic requirement of the system. I face some problem during our preliminary and detailed analysis. Since developing a system is a precise work, which needs a lot of efforts and just right control to be followed. My system provides integrated solutions for all the modules which include Reservation, maps, tariff, helpdesk and many more. The system is built on wide-ranging technology using ASP.NET using Microsoft SQL server 2005 database acting as Database Management System and the system is carried out with some of the better functionalities. My System provides accessibility to all the modules to the Administrator. My goal is to provide the highest levels of efficiency and productivity to the Administrator.

Web design and development INTRODUCTION

The term WDD stands for Web Design and Development. It is the study of designing and developing the websites. WDD is concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of interaction computing systems for human use and with the study of major phenomena surrounding them. WDD is a very broad discipline that encompasses different specialties with different concerns regarding website development. I decided to develop an attractive and user friendly, Goa Tourism. The most common and popular website that can be seen by everyone, the Tourism Site is common to college students, individuals, business communities (to increase revenues direct advertising) and non-profits organizations that connect with people and also for the people who are interested in exploring the interest. It has become the necessity of everybodys life. Now a days, this site is not just used for watching just where places are located but it can give all necessary detail regarding tourism and also provide facility to explore yourself in every single details. I am going to introduce a new interface which will be helpful to every user and it would not only provide the major functionality but would also provide the user with the simplest interface and easy navigation to the menus and sub-menus. The users will surely like to explore the site again and again and enjoy the interface provided. The interface will be designed by following all the principles, rules and guidelines that is required to develop or build a good website using fundamentals and design concepts of WDD.

The main objective of this to develop and design most suitable and sufficient website which considers much usability which helps the user to interact with it and make it an interactive interface so user visits it continually. This site is being developed by keeping the following considerations in mind such as: Providing Safety, Utility (functionality), Effectiveness (do the right thing), Efficiency (do things right), Usability and simplicity. Understanding the key issues in the field of designing. Emphasizing usability that is effective and that can be cost-justified. Designing and evaluating interfaces on the basis of relevant knowledge.

This website contains much functionality which helps the user to interact with it freely. It provides user every possible ways to interact and communicate with the website and also provide better interface so user get easiest way to deal with the system. It includes much functionality are as follows: Login: It contain login module so user can enter his username and password so all their personal data gather in same place and no one able to interrupt with this. Registration: It include registration page so anyone who have no account can register here. Dropdown: It also provides dropdown facility in which when any user chick on the menu button it shows many sub menus. Places to visit: It provides the information of most beautiful places in Goa so user can take help and get information from that. Reservation: From this website user can also reserve the hotels and transport so there is no problem for the visitors. Maps: It provide also the maps of local area of Goa so it can provide better navigation system. Helpdesk: It provides also helpdesk facilities so if anyone felt difficulties so they contacted us and their problem solved immediately.

This website is made from Microsoft visual studio in which ASP.NET as its front end and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database as its back end. Both of them provide every things which helps to develop efficient website.
Microsoft visual studio: Microsoft Visual Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) from Microsoft. It is used to develop console and graphical user interface applications along with Windows Forms applications, web sites, web applications, and web services in both native code together with managed code for all platforms supported by Microsoft Windows, Windows Mobile, Windows CE, .NET Framework, .NET Compact Framework and Microsoft Silver light. Visual Studio includes a code editor supporting IntelliSense as well as code refactoring. The integrated debugger works both as a source-level debugger and a machine-level debugger. ASP.NET: ASP.NET is a Web application framework developed and marketed by Microsoft to allow programmers to build dynamic Web sites, Web applications and Web services. Microsoft SQL Server 2005: Microsoft SQL Server is a relational database server, developed by Microsoft: It is a software product whose primary function is to store and retrieve data as requested by other software applications, be it those on the same computer or those running on another computer across a network (including the Internet). SQL Server 2005 (codename Yukon), released in October 2005, is the successor to SQL Server 2000. It included native support for managing XML data, in addition to relational data. This website provided the sufficient and safe way for tourism site which cannot provide by looking for the maps. It provides interactive user facilities with clarity features. And user feels very comfortable and realistic by using this tourism website. It also concluded the features related to why this website is capable of more interactive with the users. In my system the user can create his/her account and can receive important update as per the choice. The website is independent of any particular browser that is it can run in any browser like internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google chrome etc. These websites have even increased peoples awareness, information no matter which part of the country they are situated. They have become a source of information, services, and advertising as well. They are mainly focused on all types of user extending from novice to the expert users which increases the features as well as sustainability of the system.
