1. Summary of the Lesson Plan: This lesson is designed to make sure that the students have understood everything that was taught to them throughout the unit. 2. Target Population: grade level: 2nd grade skill level: students at all grade levels grouping: whole group discussion, independent testing,
3. Objectives: G6.2.1 Define region and provide examples of regions. 4. Procedure: 1. Teacher will review what has been taught throughout the whole unit and answer and questions that the students might have because they are going to be given a test. 20 min 2. Teacher will go over the test and show that they just have to make four sentences based on what they learned. They will be on what a region is, how they are used, what are the differences between borders, boundaries, and belts. The last one will be what three features can regions have. Teacher will model them a concept map that can help them create their sentences. 10 min 3. Students will then have to create the four sentences using information that was given to them throughout the whole unit. The teacher will collect the sentences. 20 min 4. Assessment: The formal assessment for this unit is that the students will write sentences using the information given and it will be graded and used to see if the students understood and if the teacher needs to reteach anything. 5. Reflection:
What skills do students need in order to be successful with this lesson? - Students will need to be able to recall information that was given to them prior and be able to create a concept map in order to help them organize their thoughts. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? - This is the last lesson but if the sentences need work I will need to reteach what the students missed. What can you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? - I will have the students work on a different test just answering questions about what a region is. Where do you anticipate having problems with this lesson?

I can anticipate that students will have trouble trying to recall information even though it was reviewed and modeled.
