r toward a common vision. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. It is my great pleasure to welcome all of you for attending this New Members Orientation of the Junior Chamber International. We from JCI Greater Pagadian Inc. believe in the mission of JCI to provide development opportunities that will empower young people to create positive and that we are convinced that all of you here have that potential to become the young leaders in your own community and workplace. We are privileged to have with us here gentlemen who have experienced JCI in their lives and will also impart to you those learnings. Brods salamat daan sa inyong presensya karon. In two hours you will be given an overview of what JCI is, what it does and how YOU can be a part of it. It is my sincerest hope that at the end of this orientation, YOU will consider our vision and let JCI be your path to become that positive change. To the organizers, thank you for hospitality and for hosting this event. We are much humbled by your support and faith in the Jaycee Movement and in the brotherhood we have forged as mga SILINGAN. As I come to close this small talk allow me to leave you with this thought: Coming together is a beginning, and staying together is progress, but only when teams sweat together do they find success. We hope that by your coming here, it will be a beginning of something dynamic, that we will stick together for progress and that we will work hard together for success! Speech for the Induction Ceremonies

To the newly inducted officers and members of the JCI Senate Zamboanga del SurPagadian Chapter headed by its new President JCI Senator Joy Pajares; Immediate Past President JCI Senator Manny Silla; the first ever President of the newly formed JCI Yllana JCI Member Joan __________; JCI Senate Philippines National President JCI Senator Antonio H. Cerilles; our most distinguished Honored Guest, the Representative of the 5th District of Pangasianan, JCI Senator Mark Cojuangco; Member of the JCI Senate National Board, Members of JCI Philippines, ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________ friends of the Jaycees, ladies and gentlemen good evening. Tonight marks a momentous occasion as we celebrate not just one but two very important and monumental inductions. The first is of course is the 7th induction and turn-over ceremonies of the JCI Senate Zamboanga del Sur-Pagadian Chapter. During the past year, JCI Senator Manny Silla has shown his tenacity and commitment in leading the local Senate in realizing its mission in upholding the vision set by the JCI Senate Philippines and the JCI movement as a whole in impacting the community. This is made known in the active collaboration of the Senate, the Province of Zamboanga del Sur and Local JCI Chapter in extending help to the victims and families hit by the natural calamities in the areas of Iligan during Typhoon Sendong; and the Earthquake in Negros Oriental. Truly a remarkable feat! To the new set of Officers and new Member of this Brotherhood headed by JCI Senator Joy Pajares, congratulations! We, in Greater Pagadian, believe in your capacity to lead and trust that you will direct the Local Senate to new and greater heights. We look forward to even more collaborations with you! To the newly-formed all-lady Chapter, Yllana Inc, headed by JCI Member Joan __________________, kudos to you, your new set of officers and members. Starting a new Chapter will be hard; it will have its difficulties and there will be a lot of trials. But remember, greatness is never easily achieved. Find strength in your members, your vision to become a positive change and the JCI tenet to serve humanity and the community. To paraphrase John Maxwell: Teams make you better than you are, multiply your value, enable you to do what you do best, allow you to help others do their best, give you more time, provide you with companionship, help you fulfill the desires of your heart and compound your vision and effort. Ladies, YOU, as individuals are strong, but as a unit I believe you can do great things. We, in Greater Pagadian Inc, will be looking forward to working with you in several projects and makaka-asa kayo that we will cheer for you in your successes in the near future.

Once again to the new officers of the Local Senate congratulations in continuing the superb history of the JCI Senate here in our Province; and to JCI Yllana, congratulations as you make your own history. With these two giant partners of progress and with JCI Greater Pagadian, I know and firmly believe that we can achieve more things for this Province and show across the Region the POWER of ONE!
