Clayton Pyne has a driving history that reads like an Australian motorsport honor board. Hes graduated from the same motorsport crop that has produced household names like Indy Racing League star and Penske driver Ryan Briscoe and Team Vodafone V8 Supercar pilot Jamie Whincup. In 2011, now located in New York City as a Global Leader for IBM, Clayton Pyne is back. Clayton has been handpicked by two-time V8 Supercar champion and current NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racer Marcos Ambrose to drive for his Marcos Ambrose Motorsport (MAM) team in the 2012 UARA Late Model Stock Car Series. Marcos setup MAM in 2011 to assist young up and coming Australian drivers through the North American stock car ranks. Marcos personal guidance and counsel along with the teams linkage to the Richard Petty Motorsport operation, provides Clayton a direct path to the pinnacle division of motorsport worldwide: NASCAR.

Campaigned Midget for Smith and Woods racing and Super Sedan (Dirt Late Model) for Pynes family-owned operation.

2000-2004 Formula Ford and Super Touring Cars


Drove for family team in New South Wales Formula Ford Championship. Campaigned BMW Super Touring Car. Raced in selected rounds of National Formula Ford Championship.

2006-2007 V8 Supercar
Drove for family team in selected rounds of Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series.

2009-2010 Dirt Super Sedan (Late Model)


Ran the National Super Sedan in selected local shows

ABOUT THE SERIES

The United Auto Racing Association (UARA) was formed in 2001. The season consists of sixteen, 150 lap short-track events in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.

The UARA runs a Late Model Stock car weighting 3100 pounds with a V-8 engine that produces about 500hp. The frames and bodies relate to the premier stock racing series that is so popular today.
