When Young leaders in Europe are taking action!!

More than 80 young leaders attended the student session of the European Youth Parliament organized by the Committee of Ile de France between November 18th and 20th . At a time when Europe is going through a great period of crisis, these young people aged for most of them under 25, were able to show leadership by working on some projects resolutions like culture, economics, energy, employment, agriculture, Constitutional Affairs, Social Affairs and Immigration. I 've been fortunate enough to participate in this event , and joining the committee for culture. I was enjoyed to Participate in a great debate about the contribution that the EU could bring to the cultural sector as about economic or purely cultural support regarding the Guggenheim project model , it was so surprising to see that young people with different ideas who met for the first time, had Their chance to present Their point of views. About the Session plenary , the culture committee presented a resolution which one of the key parts was the recommendation for EU countries about the creation of an European institution with the sole purpose of promoting culture across Europe, the establishment of an European fund managed by the institution to support cultural projects that meet the criteria of innovation, warranty of profitability, economic sustainability. The plenary session held on Sunday, November 20th , a kind of conference or each committee is invited to present its resolution, the defending while convincing the delegates to vote in its favor. The debate was really constructive , the delegates had a lot of frustrations, but well-founded ideas, they knew what they were talking, some interesting solutions for a better Europe . During the presentations, I was charmed by the Committee's resolution on agriculture, social affairs, but also the economy. Even when I was a rise to present my position on the tax on financial markets as proposed in the resolution, I must admit that the resolution of the economy was well written, they address all the points on the crisis, example, speaking of Eurobonds, or also in speaking of a European rating agency, or the strengthening of European pressure on the regulation of tax havens, all solutions to overcome the economic crisis. the Employment Committee was very nice also , when unemployment is a problem not olny in Europe, but worldwide, they have demonstrated that we are all concerned about unemployment, even if we have a job, they continued by demonstrating that the unemployment is a great evil of the society and the resolution of the crisis or of unemployment requires , will not only come from governments, but each of us had to make an effort, they encourage young people for entrepreneurship . The ceremony ended with a beautiful presentation of the committee and the announcement by the jury on the choice of two committees (culture and agriculture) to participate at an European Youth Forum as soon in finland, Latvia, or Germany. After the incredible experience of One Young World in 2011, the EYP meeting was very nice opportunity for me , another kind of wake up call in Europe To the great leaders of Europe, which concerned about the future of the old continent, wake up from your sad dreams!!! because the future is not only guaranteed with young people, but here they come up with solutions .. They all demonstrated in this conference that they did not need to be experts to inspire change, but staying themselves with goodwill, they wrote in large letters,'' we are the change that we want to see in Europe" By James Alcime /Paris /VOF World
