Special RCHC BOD Minutes for April 23, 2012

Attendees: Angela Gadzik, Alex Skalla, Daniel DeRock, Christiane Hacke, Jennifer Emily Scott, Ashley Carroll, J. Aaron Scott, Morgan Crawford, Shay OReilly, Ted John, Susan Hainlin, Robin Berman, Dan Rathjen, Sarah Marcum, Jennifer Erixon, Brendan Baylor, Carolyn Taylor, Kevin Owens, Cora Metrick-Chen, and Martin Pomije This was a special BOD meeting called to address issues arising from recent actions taken by Sabrielle Stutts. 1) The minutes from April 15 were presented. Kevin has emailed Sabrielle requesting an address that he could send her April rent refund. She has not replied. Attendees have seen that she has been frequently logged into Google chat. It was agreed that her contract has been terminated and she is no longer a member of RCHC. 2) There was a discussion of events since April 15. The police were called to Anomy Monday April 16. Sabrielle had spat water in the face of Aaron, picked up a glass bottle, and swung it. Morgan said that it came within inches of his head. She then began to scream while holding the bottle. By the time the police had arrived Sabrielle and Angela had left. Sabrielle did sign off on the charges related to this incident. Sabrielle has spent a few nights at Bloom County. Susan called RCHCs lawyer Tuesday April 17. Susan, Shay, and Angela spoke with our lawyer Wednesday April 18. Since there was an assault, RCHC can expedite an eviction. We would need to go to the court and then to the sheriff. A writ of eviction needs to be directly delivered to Sabrielle Stutts. Our lawyer needed BOD minutes to do this. Sabrielle went back to Anomy on Saturday. Jennifer Emily Scott said that Sabrielle tried to dump the kitchen table on her, screamed at her, and tried to take her telephone away from her while she was trying to call 911. Sabrielle took some food from Anomy and went back to Bloom County with Cora. The locks at Anomy were changed on Sunday. We could potentially be sued by Sabrielle for this. She has not been officially served papers yet. Our lawyer recommended a professional server that might work out better than the sheriff. With this professional and a certified letter sent to Sabrielle, we can go to court. The BOD decided to proceed with immediate eviction, pay whatever lawyer fees, and use the professional server. Susan and Shay will stay in contact with our lawyer. Cora and Angela have been in contact with Sabrielle. The court process should take two to three weeks. 3) The April 15 BOD minutes were approved.
