What is a Patent? Explain the procedure for applying and granting patents. Why one should go for a Patent? Why does the Government encourage filing of Patent? What are the rights conferred on patent holder? Can a scientist get a patent on the invention, which he has already published in the form of a paper in a National / International Journal? Mention any three inventions which does not qualifies for the grant of a Patent? B Files an application for a patent for an invention which he made on his return from USA. While in USA he had read about the invention in a journal in a library there. The Controller accepts the application but on examination he finds that the invention had been described earlier in the journal published in USA.
