Parts of a circle
a)
Centre The centre, O, of a circle is a fixed point which is equidistant from all points on the circle.
b)
c)
Radius The radius of a circle is a line drawn from the centre of the circle to the circumference of the circle.

Sector The sector of a circle is the region bounded by an arc and two radii. A minor sector is the region bounded by two radii and a minor arc while a major sector is bounded by two radii and a major arc.
h) Segment The segment of a circle is the region bounded by an arc and a chord. A minor segment is the region which is bounded by a chord and a minor arc while a major segment is bounded by a chord and a major arc.
