THE DAILY STAR ODOMMO CHATTAGRAM

OBJECTIVE OF ODMOO CHATTAGRAM: The core objective of The Daily Star Odommo Chattagram initiative is to build a strong brand association of The Daily Star with the Chittagong city. By building this association, it was implied that this relationship with Chittagong and The Daily Star will work as the foundation for The Daily Stars future circulation and business growth.

THE APPROACH We have taken a City Branding approach titled Odommo Chattagram to highlight Chittagongs History, Tradition, Culture, Contemporary Lifestyle, Economic Aspects and Civic Issues of the port city which has immense potential for the overall growth of Bangladesh.

PROGRAMMES OF ODOMMO CHATTAGRAM We have arranged total 18 diversified events for the Odommo Chattagram festival. All the programmes were immensely successful with participation of Chittagong mass people, different stakeholders, civic leaders, cultural communities and more. Total approximate direct engagement of 1,00,000 (One Lakh) people of Chittagong MEDIA COVERAGE: The Odommo Chattagram programmes and activities got huge media coverage in print, television, radio and as well as websites. Channel i was the television media partner and Radio Today was the Radio partner for this event. Besides the media partners, other televisions, radio channels, newspapers also provided significant coverage of different activities HIGHLIGHTS: The Daily Star Odommo Chattagram programme were highly appreciated, participates and admired by the Chittagong people. Most of them opined that this was the first of its kind programme in Chittagong which made them feel proud All the key stakeholders also appreciated, participated and admired The Daily Star for such initiative We have achieved a significant business stakeholder engagement as our sponsors and also as well as for future business growth in advertisement and other related areas The Daily Star was successful in winning the heart of Chittagong people through this initiative and this can be the platform for future circulation and revenue growth Circulation increased approximately 150 copies during the Odommo Chattagram period. Besides, currently we have approximately 7% circulation growth rate in Chittagong market.

FUTURE PLAN: Odommo Chattagram in-line programmes and activities need to be continued to keep up the hype in Chittagong market The Marketing Department has already outlined future activities in Chittagong targetd to circulation development, stakeholder engagement and brand building for The Daily Star
