Boca de Yuma is a city in the province of La Altagracia, bordering the Caribbean Sea, at the east of Higuey. Yuma residents say is a voice from the Taino language, characteristic of the peoples of the Caribbean islands and the name is due to the proximity of the mouth of the river of the same name. Boca de Yuma is a paradise of peace and quiet, the main activity is fishing, on the Malecon there are many small restaurants that offer fish and lobsters. Boca de Yuma do not have beaches in the village, Playa Blanca beach is accessible by boat from the village.Boca de Yuma worth visiting, and stay there if you want peace and rest.

Tourist attractions and places to visit in Boca de Yuma Cueva Berna This cave has many great qualities petroglyphs, some 300 figures are carved on the walls and floor. Berna Cave is located just outside Boca de Yuma, going to the Parc del Este. The road is specified and it is possible to go by car. Bayahibe
Bayahibe Beach, a public beach, is located less than a mile from the town center, and Dominicus Beach is in about three miles distance. Bayahibe serves as an embarkation point for boat tours to Saona Island, a thinly inhabited island with extensive beaches located in a national park. In the vicinity of Bayahibe and Dominicus Beach, numerous large resorts are located.

Scuba Diving
Scuba Diving is probably the most common tourist attraction in Bayahibe. There are close to 10 scuba diving shops scattered around the main beach. There are many shops that take scuba divers to the many dive sites around the area. There are over 20 official dive sites located near Bayahibe and all are accessible from the dive boats in the area. There are 3 Shipwrecks in the area including Atlantic Princess, St George and Coco.
