History Originally a division of Memphis-based wholesale grocer Malone & Hyde, the company went under the name Auto Shack. After the sale of the grocery operation to the Fleming Companies of Oklahoma City, the name of the company was changed to AutoZone to reflect the new focus and to settle a lawsuit brought by Tandy Corporation for trademark infringement. AutoZone holds the naming rights to the downtown Memphis baseball stadium that is the home of the Memphis Redbirds of the Pacific Coast League. The company also sponsors the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

Result: After conducting this survey, the company understand a lot about the employees behavior, like what changes are require about the environment, salaries, intrinsic reward, feedback and moreover what the employees perception about the company current and future position. Conclusion and remedies: 1) After feedback from the employees, the company changes the environment not entirely but improves about the sitting and I.T. departments (equipment) .The Company also announced to give proper guideline and structured information to the employees about the field work. 2) The main step organization takes after this survey is that he declares about the intrinsic rewards, frank benefits and perks so that ones feel that his/her work has worth for the organization.
