General Information about the Project:

The objects sensorial movement project has been developed by sophomore students from Universidad Internacional del Ecuador.

Mission:
To give more facility and comfort to people who have difficulties when it comes to moving objects.

Vision:
Be the first choice to people who need a system that provides objects movement without touching them.

Objectives:
To satisfy the need of moving objects for people who suffer from motor disability or any other kind of disability. To diminish the incidence motor disability has on peoples daily life. To continue the investigation on the subject and expand the variety of needs that can be solved by different applications of our system To expand our current marketing target to those people who may not need our system but want it for comfort.

Marketing Plan
Principal Objectives:
To come up with a plan that meets the financial objectives

Business Plan

Our principal goal is to sell our product at a price range that is accessible to a great percentage of the people who need it the most. To be at the top of our clients mind; when it comes to products for people with physical disabilities

Advantages: Our objects sensorial movement system is a pioneer in its field Once the circuits are designed and the functionality accomplished, the mass production of our system
becomes simpler

Market Analysis:
Nowadays in Ecuador there are 162 034 people who suffer from some physical disability; considering only the people who are registered in Ecuadors National Disability Organization, CONADIS. Assuming 25% of these population suffers from motor disability, or they lack from their hands or legs for different reasons; there are 40 508 personas who would be our first target. According to our objectives, we know we are planning on expanding our services to anybody who finds our system useful. Therefor, our market target is going to keep growing as long as we accomplish our goals and objectives.

The Competition:
To gain clients, we are going to identify our principal competitors and understand the quality of their products, prices, advantages, etc. So that we can comprehend their intentions and behavior.

Marketing:

Product

Price

Promotion

Place

Product: Our product is a system that uses the electrical impulses produced by our bodies when we move a muscle. Our system is capable of taking these electrical impulses, and understanding the in a way we can produce objects movement.

Price:

According to some surveys, we were able to determine that people are willing to pay around $100 for our system.

Place: We think the best way to sell our product is by doctors. Our product will be available in doctors offices, which are willing to help, and think our system could be useful for their patients. It will also be available in hospitals or pharmacies that have the appropriate staff to give out useful information about our product.

Promotion: Our principal objectives when promoting our product are: o To communicate the features our system has o To communicate the benefits our product offers Our product will be promoted by the professionals who have direct access to our market target. We think is a good way to get our product to our final clients, because they are the ones who have the ability to suggest them to the right people. To make sure our clients know what they are buying, we are willing to give a free tester to the doctors who agree to suggest our product to their patients. This way, our clients will be able to test our system before they buy it, and decide if it would be useful for them or not.

Production Plan:
General Introduction
Flow chart of about the production process:

Buy all the materials we need

Implement the circuits on solder boards

Test individually each one of the boards

Connect the external inputs of the system

Final quality test

1. Buy all the materials we need The materials we use for the three different boards are: Voltage regulators, data busses, capacitors, resistors, rectifier diodes, transistors, relays, atmega168, operational amplifiers and T-blocks.

What is more,, we need a metal box and cables

2. Implement the circuits on solder boards The implementation will take place on three different boards, based on the previously designed circuits. The boards can be made using the traditional method or a CNC. The implementation of the boards includes processes such as continuity tests that guarantee the quality and lifetime of our product. Here we have an example about how are boards are going to look:

3. Test individually each one of the boards We make an individual test on each of the boards to avoid further problems; because we know that production problems are more difficult to detect on the final product that they are on each one of the boards. To make these tests, we use materials such as: wave generators, oscilloscopes, etc. For instance, to know if the wave amplifiers are working properly, we need a wave generator that produces a wave in microvolts. We have to plug this wave in the input pin of the operational amplifier. We also need to power the operational amplifier with 5 volts. Finally, we have to measure the output and make sure it is in volts.

4. Connect the external inputs of the system The external inputs of the system are the electrodes that receive and transmit our body signals. It is also necessary to connect the output from the system to the computer. The computer is going to provide the final users interface

5. Final quality test It is mandatory to make a final test of the final product to guarantee the quality of the product that is going out to the market

This test must be made pretending that the staff is the final user of the system. This way, we can verify its full functionality facing the challenges that must be surpassed after it is selled.

Employees profile: The employees who are going to work on the production process, must have some knowledge about making boards and soldering. What is more, it is required some mid electronics knowledge, so that mistakes can be easily detected by our staff.

Adding all the elements prices, we have a total of around $50, depending on where we buy the elements. The production cost will be $50 plus the employees pays.
