NVIRO SBR
The NVIRO SBR can treat wide range of domestic and industrial wastewaters, at flow ranging from few thousand liters to millions of liters per day. The NVIRO SBR process can treat any wastewater that can be treated by activated sludge process including anoxic / oxic systems, aerated lagoons, extended aeration processes, trickling filters, rotating biological contactors (RBCS) and oxidation ditches. Like other biological effluent treatment processes NVIRO SBR works by developing mixed culture of bacteria (biomass) which is effective for removal of BOD, COD and nutrients commonly found in wastewater.
Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) High quality effluent at widely varying flows and loadings No sludge recycle system Perfect quiescent settling Optimum energy efficiency No Clarifiers / Settling Tanks Small footprint Flexible design Retrofits of existing basins Choice of aeration / mixing devices Influent distribution / sludge collection manifold (ID / SC) Non-electro mechanical solids excluding floating decanter State-of-the-art controls Retrofits available for any basin geometry Experience, Reputation and Reliability Meets Pollution Control Board treated water norms
Operating Principals
The NVIRO SBR is a fill and draw, non steady state of activated sludge process in which one or more reactor basins are filled with waste water during a discrete time period, and then operated in a batch mode. In a single reactor basin the NVIRO SBR accomplishes equalization, aeration, and clarification in a timed sequence. In a conventional continuous flow process, multiple structures are required to obtain the same treatment objectives. A single cycle for each reactor consists of five discrete periods, Fill, React, Settle, Decant, and Idle. The NVIRO SBR system is unique in its ability to handle influent flows and a wide range of organic loads and industrial pollutants. The NVIRO SBR is ideally suited when nitrification, denitrification and biological phosphorous removal are necessary

SETTLE PHASE Aeration and mixing are turned off and perfect quiescent conditions allow the biomass to settle, leaving the treated supernatant above.
DECANT PHASE Clarified effluent is removed during the decant phase, from just below the surface using advanced Nviro Floating Decanter Mechanism.
IDLE / WASTE SLUDGE PHASE An idle period is used in a multi tank system to provide time for one reactor to complete its fill phase before switching to another unit. Idle phase is also used for Sludge wasting
The Nviro Advanced Sequencing Batch Reactor meets with the treated water norms of the Pollution Control Board. The Nviro Advanced Sequencing Batch Reactor is offered in two configurations of manual as well as sequentially timed PLC based operation system.
