Power mode 1)
Power mode is activated at the touch of a button, enabling the driver to call upon enhanced power over a short period. This increases the vehicles agility and allows the driver to mobilise power reserves in specic situations, e. g. on uphill stretches, when joining motorway trac or when overtaking. Power mode is deactivated automatically after ten minutes and the system returns from a power-focused to a consumption-optimised driving style.
EcoRoll mode 1)
EcoRoll mode helps to reduce fuel consumption. EcoRoll is activated when, at a speed exceeding 55 km/h, the driver or driving systems do not accelerate or brake for a period of at least one second. Powertrain deceleration is interrupted by automatically setting the transmission to the neutral position. This mode makes use of those times when the driver wishes to keep on rolling without having to have the foot on the accelerator or brake pedal. As soon as the brake or accelerator is applied again, the correct gear is selected automatically. EcoRoll is active when the vehicle is started but can be deactivated via the control panel.
Rocking mode 1)
Rocking mode comes to the drivers assistance if a vehicle gets stuck in a recess on a soft, slippery surface. This can frequently save the inconvenience of having to be towed out of trouble. Activated at the touch of a button, it can be implemented for all pulling-away gears (forward and reverse) up to a speed of 5 km/h. Pressing the accelerator pedal simultaneously engages the clutch. And quickly releasing the accelerator has the opposite eect, disengaging the clutch causing the vehicle to roll back and the rocking motion begins. This process can be repeated as often as required until the driving wheels can grip the surface and the truck can drive away.

Mercedes PowerShift features four reverse gears, making reversing easier than ever before. Two of the four reverse gears oer a rapid transmission ratio at higher travelling speeds. This helps to reduce fuel consumption and is highly benecial when covering extended distances in reverse, for example, or negotiating long access lanes without being able to turn.

In my area of work were no strangers to uphill gradients. Thanks to the power mode, I now have enough propulsion to ease up the slope without a second thought. I always use the manoeuvring mode when coupling and uncoupling. It gives you a much better feel for the job and everything runs quickly and smoothly.
