FOR A TV Advertisement
The Ballad

CLIENT Connexcast The Brief: Produce a television advertisement to advertise the music academy from Glenthorne high school to a good technical standard showing some imagination and with only occasional assistance.
It is proposed that the video will be of 30 seconds duration, filmed at Glenthorne High School and edited at our Sutton facility.
The video will be aimed at students who are leaving high school and parents this has been identified through the survey that I did
The video will show it will represent how students spend their education and what they accomplish The video will be aired on E4
The main competitor for this video will be ACM. This has been identified through my market research
Several locations have been visited and a shortlist has been drawn up: Suggested locations are: Music room The School hall
The video will include the following: a) One key shots is when he is with the teacher getting advise b) When he is on stage performing his song c) When he is first writing the song
These shots will link all together to show the process of how he made his song
Structure The video will be in colour and in PAL. The video will start with a shot of the boy writing down some lyrics Cut to

Schedule The production will be produced within the timescale that will be indicated by our shooting and editing schedules. Connexcast will ensure that all location filming is carefully planned to take into account the safety of the crew and the general public and any production contingencies. The finished video will be available for viewing at an appropriate time in order for any changes to be made before the suggested release date. The deadline for submission to the client is: 22/6/2
Sources of requirements What I will need is a camcorder and final cut to edit the footage, the props I will need is a guitar, a microphone, some lyric paper and a pen.
Legal and Ethical Issues I will need to get my actors to sign a release form to give me permission to film them. I will make sure that all groups are represented fairly and that my actors are wearing appropriate costume.
Guarantee of Satisfaction Initial discussion on The Ballad content will take place. Production equipment will be used in a safe operational manner at all times. Public Liability Insurance to the sum of 1,000,000 covers Connexcast. A copy of all rushes (camera original material) will be supplied on request in DVD format. A rough cut (initial trial edit) version of The Ballad will be supplied for inspection and discussion. A meeting to discuss the final master version will be organised with a focus group of interested parties. The completed The Ballad will be provided on DVD for inspection. The completed The Ballad will not be released until the client is completely satisfied with technical quality and content.
