Introduction
This document will show you all the steps needed to configure the Actions for Organizational Management
infotypes. You can group in sequences the infotypes belonging to Organizational Management in order to
facilitate the administration of Organizational Management objects. You can create different actions with all
the data needed for Creating an Organizational Unit/Position/Task/Work center. Other actions can reflect the
infotypes needed when Changing the existing data. The same steps can be followed in order to do actions
for Training and Event Management (Create external instructor) or for Talent Administration (Create
qualification)
Pre-configuration steps
Make a list with all the Actions that you need and the infotypes and their subtypes that you want to include in
each action. Furthermore, you can specify the Plan version and the Planning status for the infotypes that you
want to manage.
Note: Follow the SAP recommendation for the Customer specific Action number range.
This way you will not start from zero with your own action.
Step 2:
Change the name of your action into 001 Create Job Custom Action
Step 3:
You will be asked to choose the objects to be copied. Select
Step 4:
You will see a message on the screen announcing you how many Infotype dependent entries have been
copied:
Press the
Step 5:
You will see a confirmation message on the left side of the screen
confirming that you only copied the infotypes for one action.
Step 6:
You are back in the initial screen. However, the name of the action disappears.
Write it again
Step 7:
Save your entries and add your customizing to the Change request.
Step 8:
Choose the newly created action and select Actions (individual maintenance)
Step 9:
On the screen you can see the copied infotypes and subtypes. You can modify these according to your
needs (you already made the list of infotypes and subtypes in the Pre-configuration steps.)
In our case, the standard action has more infotypes than we need. We delete the ones that are
unnecessary. And make additional changes if needed. Save the action.
You return to the initial configuration screen. You have to link the action with a transaction.
Note: If you perform Steps 10 to 13, you will end up with an error.
Step 14 is one of the correct solutions to link the Action with a Transaction code.
Step 10:
You can see the standard settings:
We want the 001 Create Job Custom Action to be the default action for PQ03.
Step 11:
Change the Default Action
Step 12:
Save
Step 13:
You will get an error message:
Step 14:
You need to maintain this customization in T77S0.
Access transaction PQ03 and create one Job for testing the infotype sequence.
First infotype
Second infotype
After saving the second infotype, you come back to the initial screen. On the left side of the screen you will
see a confirmation message.
