1 EQUIPMENT

1 Equipment
I did 6 tests in total. Following list shows the used equipment.

1.1 Lines
- Longline (white with black ends) see figure 3)

- Jumpline (white)

- Reggae

1.2 methods of fastening:

- Linelocker: steel Linelocker for 2, 5 cm webbing, oval Linelocker (dia: 4cm)

- Sling: run in end of the Slackline

- Banana (see figure 1)

Figure 1: Banana 3d

The Banana is similar to slack dog. I changed the measures. Folowing figure
shows the measures. The plate is 6mm strong. Screws have 12mm diameter.
Inside I used some sleeves to prtect the Slackline.

2 Tests
2.1 Trial 1
We placed the Longline directly in between the two ankers. Distance between the
ankers 240mm.
The trial was stoped because the anker couldn’t fix the line. The loose splits were
a bit rough so it ruined the line.
The table shows the details:

- maximum force

- extension in milimeters

- point where the line breaks

trial number F-max (daN) extension-max (mm) breakingpoint

Following Figure shows the trial before testing.

2.2 Trial 2
We placed the Longlinesample with two steel Linelockers in the machine (distance
30cm).

The relation between extensiondistance and force is nearly linear.

2.3 Trial 3 2 TESTS

2.3 Trial 3
In this trial we used the banana. we doubled the line so we could use a shakle on
one end and the banana on the other.

Figure 7: Longline: Linelocker vs. Banana, Line doubled

the line broke on the shakle side. there was no bad use of the shakle. the bolt
was very clear. the line didn’t touch the sides. so the line was fully attached to
the bolt of the shakle.
Following table gives the details:

trial number F-max (daN) extension-max (mm) breakingpoint

3 3543, 0 67, 36 shakle

2.4 Trial 4 2 TESTS

2.4 Trial 4
we tried to fix the line with two bolts, one at each side. trial was stoped because
the machine couldn’t fix the line and tight it.

Figure 8: Longline: slinged

2.5 Trial 5
we tested the Jumpline with two big steel Linelockers. The breaking point was
very interesting (see figures below).

2.6 Trial 6
In the last trial we used the reagge line. one side belaid with the banana and the
other with the sling of the line.
