proudly presents

Benjamin David Nicholes

It is with great joy that we announce the graduation of our son, Benjamin, from high school on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 7:30 pm at the WOLBI Jeju classroom.
Steve and Rhonda Nicholes
My life is but a weaving between my Lord and me; I do not choose the colors, He works steadily, Oft times He weaves sorrow and I in foolish pride; forget that He sees the upper and I the underside. Not until the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly; will God unfold the pattern and explain the reason why. For the dark threads are as needful in the weavers skillful hand; as the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.

A word from the graduate

In Acts 16:9-10 we read about the Macedonian call, where Paul sees a vision of a man in Macedonia pleading for him to come and help them. Recently I also received a similar call, albeit slightly more physical. My uncle and aunt have asked me to come and help them in Taiwan for a few weeks, from June 24 to July 15. During the summer they have the greatest influx of students at SYME in Taiwan. As the term opens, they have much work to do to get it off the ground. They have asked me to come to help set up dorms for the incoming students, as well as help with SYME Chapel and Word of Life Bible Club. Ill also be taking care of my cousins, Jonathan and Nathan, while my aunt and uncle model classes for the new teachers. In addition, my Uncle Chris would like for me to shadow him in various areas of SYME kind of as an intern to help get the summer term started. And in my spare time Im going to help my uncle and aunt as they move their apartment. Originally, when they asked me to come and help, they thought they would be able to get me a free plane ticket using frequent flyer mileage. But they soon discovered that the mileage required during the summer season is three times what it is during the off season. So I am looking for people who are willing and able to help me get a plane ticket to Taiwan as well as 50 prayer partners who will pray for me every day while Im there. The cost is somewhere between $400-$500. Would you consider joining me in either of those ways or in both? If so, please let me know.
