The Free State Provincial Government will be embarking on an integrated programme of Child Protection Week and the launch of the Youth Month. Premier Ace Magashule and Members of the Executive Council led by MEC: Social Development will grace various activities that seek to highlight the plight of children as part of the National Child Protection Week events that were launched by President Zuma in Galeshewe, Kimberley on the 27 May 2012 under the theme, Working Together To Protect Children. The programme in the Free State will run as follows for the period of 1 June to 3 June: Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Premier Ace Magashule and the Members of the Executive Council will officially open Moalosi Crche which is situated at 616 Mafahleng, Tweeling in the Mafube Local Municipality. The crche was built by the National Development Agency (NDA) as part of their mandate to assist with Pre-school development in the Province. The historic significance of the National Youth Day has led to the Month of June being dedicated to various commemorative events highlighting the plight of young people of our country. At the core is the high level of youth unemployment. Premier Magashule will launch the Youth Month programme under the theme Together We Can Do More to Build Infrastructure and Fight Youth Unemployment, Poverty and Inequality in Bethulie Sports Ground by handing over School Uniform to the needy school children of Lephoi Primary School and Wongalethu Intermediate School.
