Modeled after Belle Groves successful School Tour Program, children actively take part in the history of Belle Grove Plantation. During four days of history and hands-on fun, children experience how life on an 18th century plantation differs from their modern lives. Exciting daily adventures bring the past to life and create a memorable experience. Both Living History Camp for Kids are limited to 25 children.

Adventures Include:

An Insiders Tour of the 1797 Manor House and exploration the historic landscape and gardens A visit to the Blacksmiths Forge A chance to cook in the original Winter Kitchen and taste-test your creations Fun projects and crafts A day with the National Park Service to learn about the 1864 Battle of Belle Grove or Cedar Creek End the week with a special fun day, family celebration, and graduation!

I assume all risks associated with my child/children participating in the programs above including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, and effects of the weather (including heat and humidity,) all such risks being known and appreciated by me the parent. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my childs registration, I, waive and release Belle Grove Plantation and the National Trust for Historic Preservation and all staff, volunteers, and instructors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my childs/childrens participation of the program above, even through that liability may rise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the person(s) named in this waiver. I also grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, recordings, or any other record of my child/ children for any legitimate purpose.
