SPORTS COMPLEX GRAND OPENING


Friday, June 15, 2012 1000 - 1500 Its ready! Come out and see your new Sports Complex. The complex has a vast array of fields, tracks, tennis courts, a concession area and more. You have to see it to appreciate it. Our grand opening will feature a variety of sporting events, including Command/Service rivalry and youth sporting events. Unit competition will be in the following areas with awards presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: softball, soccer (tentative), tennis, track, and tug of war. REGISTRATION BEGINS JUNE 4TH FROM 1300-1400

The MWR Library launches its Reading is so Delicious! summer reading program on June 4th. Over the next two months, the library will host a range of free activities for children and adults that encourage and support a love of reading. Participants also can win prizes for reaching their reading goals. Weve got a great program planned for having a deliciously good time at the library this summer, said Library Manager Joseph Sbisa. We want all the children and their parents to come and check out our programs. Registration continues throughout the summer. The following performers are scheduled to be here for the month of June. All performances are scheduled from 1300-1400 hrs. in the MWR Library, Building 57.

Limited space available. Pre-registration required before June 11th by close of business. The Infinity Science Center celebrates the intertwining of science, space exploration and fun! The Science Center is affiliated with NASAs John C. Stennis Space Center. It is designed to challenge and educate visitors of all ages on the role of science and math in exploration across history. Included in the price of your Infinity ticket is an approximate thirty minute behind the scenes bus tour through Americas largest rocket engine test facility.

The library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1000-1900 hrs., and on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 1000 -1700 hrs.
