GRADUATE ENGINEER TRAINEE 2012

Tata Group-Built on Trust & Ethics

We do not claim to be more unselfish, more generous or more philanthropic than other people. But we started on sound and straight forward business principles, considering the interests of the shareholders our own, and the health and welfare of the employees the sure foundation of our prosperity. Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata. (1839-1904),Our Founder. The wealth gathered by Jamsetji Tata and his sons in half a century of industrial pioneering formed but a minute fraction of the amount by which they enriched the nation. The whole of that wealth is held in trust for the people and used exclusively for their benefit. The cycle is thus complete, what came from the people has gone back to the people many times over J.R.D. Tata (1904-1993)

I believe in being a Pioneer

Sir Frederick Upcott, Chief Commissioner of Indian Railways, 1907 Indian Hotels The want of hotel accommodation was never so badly felt as at present when will Bombay have a rest house worthy of the name? Bombay Saturday Review,1865 India Cements Tatas gave India its first cement manufacturing unit to which was added Shahabad cement in 1926, both these and other cement companies were merged in 1936 to form Associated Cement Companies (ACC). GET Speak

"My experience with the company has been the best I could hope for. In 2006, I joined Tata Motors (CVBUPune) from Delhi College of Engineering. The journey has been of great learning and experience. Rotational assignments as a GET and work at New Product Introduction have been very satisfying. In 2009, I was selected under the Executive Selection Scheme (ESS) and was given management inputs at IIM Indore; was exposed to Branding (Tata Nano) and Sales Strategy (at PCBU-South Africa). Subsequently, I was selected to TAS through the inhouse selection process. I would say that Tata Motors is a place where one can get a very steep career graph. There are plenty of opportunities to grow and nurture your talent.

When you join as a GET many added advantage come: If any new project or assignment comes in a department irrespective of the nature of department GET gets the first preference to handle the same with full backing of seniors who act as a mentor and adviser to ensure that lack of experience doesnt come in the way hence there is ample opportunity to prove oneself with lots of learning. Because of the support knowledge & opportunity to which a GET is exposed there is no restriction of level to which he/she can grow moreover schemes such that FTSS helps to pole vault the normal promotion procedure
27

Life of a GET

GETs find themselves privileged, say a son-in-law feel, within Tata Motors Ankur Singhal, GET

So, Gear up to join
