Travelling is undoubtedly one of the fun and exciting things you can do during any time of the year,

especially with your family or with a group of friends. Whether you are planning to make a visit to your hometown or you just want to be freed from the shackles of the city life, there would be limitless opportunities for you to experience great happy moments with so many beautiful places to visit and explore inside and outside of the country. Its never too late for you to get your travel swag on with the looming arrival of the rainy season. If you really are in desperate need of escaping the suffocating atmosphere of the city, visiting some of these wonderful destinations should be at the top of your to-do list:

1. Boracay Island (Kalibo, Aklan) You cant call yourself a Filipino if you dont know Boracay Island. Boracay Island is the number one tourist destination in the country and is considered the best beach in the world. The island is composed of two primary beaches, the White Beach and the Bulabog Beach. The White Beach is the more popular among the two because it hosts the majority of the services of the island. It is very ideal for various activities like picnics and beach games. This beach can also provide you with the best spot where you can enjoy one of the best sunset experiences (the Boracay Sunset) you could ever have in your whole lifetime. On the other hand, the Bulabog Beach is the place you would want to go to if you are deeply into extreme water sports such as kite boarding and wind surfing.

2. Chocolate Hills (Tagbilaran, Bohol) Arguably the most famous tourist destination of the Bohol Island, these hills of breathtaking beauty are definitely a must-see for anyone. The Chocolate Hills is made up of 1,268 hills which all turn from green to chocolate brown in color during the summer, hence the name. No one could really clearly explain how the hills were formed. Not even our great geologists! In honest words, one could really proclaim that the Chocolate Hills is a sight to behold because of its uniqueness and its uniform structure. You can just stare at the hills all day and lust upon them as they really look like big mounds of chocolate. One way of making fun of the hills is to jokingly compare them to a womans breasts, which John Lloyd Cruz did in the movie Close to You. If youre planning to go to Bohol, not visiting the Chocolate Hills would be a mortal sin. 3. Cagayan de Oro City (Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental) Cagayan De Oro is one of the most known tourist spots in the Mindanao region. There are a ton of cool things you can do while you are at Cagayan de Oro. Firstly, you can do some extreme white water rafting in the rapids of Cagayan de Oro River, highly considered as the most popular tourist activity in the city. You can also visit the Eco Tourism Village of Cagayan de Oro wherein you can find beautiful ethnic sceneries and a lot of native items. You can discover a lot of things about the culture of the tribes of Northern Mindanao while walking down the aisles of the Eco Village. If youre the type who is always seeking for an adventure, then a visit to Macahambus Adventure Park should be a priority of yours. The park offers thrilling activities such as zip-lining, rappelling, and crossing their very own Sky Bridge.
