Brief Profile of Mirza Shahnawaz Agha

Mirza Shahnawaz Agha was born in August of 1950, into a family of immigrant traders, and was brought up in the former East Pakistan; He went to the first cadet college in the country then and post graduation in commerce studied Islamic Jurisprudence as an apprentice to Dr. Muhammad Said Al-Awadi from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the year 1974. He had a career in trade and industry from the age of 18 and heads a few enterprises today; He proposed the re-structuring of the ministry of tourism, culture & sports to Government of Pakistan, as a consultant, enabling the declaration of tourism as an industry by the government of Pakistan. During his professional career he has been an active member of the civil societies and has contributed his share in formalizing several public welfare projects. A research scholar, he is very well travelled and exposed. Areas of Expertise: Sociology Political Science Economics Jurisprudence Islam Organizational Planning, Marketing, Administration and Corporate Structuring.

Achievements: Has established multiple corporate in his professional tenure including financial companies; NGOs, Trading Co.s etc. He has been the Member & DP Chairman of the P.M Task Force on National Affairs and Donors Coordination 1998 99. His area of activity being to devise a national reconstruction strategy for socio economic revival and stability. As the Chief Executive M/s Trade Field Int l, Marketing & Consultancy Division) in 1989-90Activity he proposed to re- structure the ministry of tourism, culture & sports, Government of Pakistan. The job was successfully completed enabling the declaration of tourism as an industry by the government of Pakistan. (Document Attached) He is the Declarant of a news Agency name Live Rostrum, under the banner of which, he is currently presenting a series of Reform Proposals, debated by scholars in public seminars and duly adjudicated by retired Judges, pertaining to the Affairs and Management of State.

Publications: Published a book on socio-economic independence May 1994. Entitled A RENDEZVOUS WITH DESTINY. Actively participate as columnist in a daily The News International. Political Economy Section. A book of observations entitled The First Feelers is under publication. A book on Islamic Material Justice entitled The Decisive Edge is under publication. A book entitled What Is This Thing Called Religion For God Sake Has provided to the core group of the Karachi and Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry the business communitys agenda for change.
