Narayana Hrudayalaya (NH) was founded by Indias oldest construction company Shankar Narayana Construction Company to provide quality specialized healthcare at affordable rates. Under the leadership of Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty, founder, Chairman and Managing Director, the Bangalore based group has seen tremendous success. With a target of growing to 30000 beds in the next 5 years, NH groups vision is to become one of the largest players in India. At the Bangalore Health City, the group has sponsored Thrombosis Research Institute, which is a research institute based in London to start a research Lab in our campus, which has 30 scientists working to develop a vaccine to prevent a heart attack. Apart from the facilities at Bangalore and Kolkata, the group has hospitals in Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Dharwad, Kolar, Raipur, Shimoga and Hyderabad and proposed sites at Mysore, Siliguri, Bhubaneshwar and Cayman Islands. NHs endeavor is to be a leader in all therapeutic areas ranging from cardiac to cancer and ophthalmology to dental care. Narayana Hrudayalaya has a strong philanthropic approach - in association with Karnataka State government the group has launched a Micro Health Insurance Programme called Yeshaswini, which covers nearly 3 million farmers.
