Reservation Of Rooms/Current Status Of Rooms At

Maharashtra Sadan

Room reservation is usually done from the office of Desk-20A, General

Administration Department (GAD), Government of Maharashtra, 9th floor,
New Administrative Building, opposite Mantralaya, Mumbai-400032 Tel No
022-22025932 & Fax No 022-22822626. GAD communication regarding
reservation is received daily from Mumbai. Manager, Maharashtra Sadan may
also allot vacant rooms if available in exceptional cases. Desk Officer, Desk-20A,
General Administration Department, Manatralya, Mumbai is to be contacted
preferably a week in advance for reservation in Maharashtra Sadan. The visitors
are accommodated as per the protocol priority and rooms availability.
Maharashtra Sadan is a “Guest House” mainly for VIPs/ State
dignitaries/officials of the State Government visiting Delhi. Athe priority in
reservation is decided as per Government Resolution dated 31.07.2003 issued by
PWD Department. The priority order is as under-
1. Governor of Maharashtra.
2. Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
3. Speaker of Legislative Council/President of Legislative Assembly/Chief
Justice of High Court.
4. Lokayukta.
5. Hon'ble Minister.
6. Justice of High court.
7. Dy. Speaker of Legislative Council/Vice President of Legislative Assembly.
8. Hon'ble Minister of State.
9. Members of Legislature committee.
10. V-VIP (MP/MLA).
11. Officers/Employees of State Government for official works.
12. Officers/Employees of Central Government for official works.
13. Officers/Employees of State Government not on duty.
14. Officers/Employees of other State Government for official works.
15. Ex-MP / MLA / Freedom Fighter /State Government Retd. Officers/
Employees.
16. Journalist (Accreditation card holder).
17. Private persons.

There are 57 rooms in Maharashtra Sadan. 27 rooms are available for

allotment and the other rooms are reserved for various categories of guests. The
reserved rooms include 14 rooms reserved for Hon. Members of Maharashtra
Legislative Assembly and Council as per Government Resolution dated 12-01-
2001.
