AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE

TOWNSHIP OF EWING IN THE COUNTY OF MERCER TO AMEND ORDINANCE NOS.
2005-038 AND 2005-044 PURSUANT TO A DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
DETERMINATION REGARDING THE PLACEMENT OF STOP SIGNS AT THE
INTERSECTION OF ALBEMARLE AVENUE AND HENDRICKSON AVENUE

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of Ewing

that the Revised General Municipal Ordinances of the Township of Ewing, in particular
Ordinance Nos. 2005-038 and 2005-044 be amended, pursuant to Department of Transportation
correspondence dated October 27, 2005, to provide the following regarding the placement of a
stop sign at the intersection of Hendrickson Avenue and Albemarle Avenue pursuant to Section
225-13 of the Ewing Township Code:

Section 1: Amend Section 225-59 Schedule XII: Stop Intersections to add new stop signs
at certain locations in the Township. Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the
intersections described are hereby designated as Stop Intersections. Stop signs shall be installed
as provided therein:

Intersection Stop Sign On

Rosedale Avenue & Greenville Avenue Northbound Greenville Avenue

Rosedale Avenue & Hendrickson Avenue Northbound Hendrickson Avenue

Hendrickson Avenue & Albemarle Avenue Eastbound Albemarle Avenue

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon receipt of approval from the Commissioner
of the New Jersey Department of Transportation and after final passage and publication
according to law.

Section 3. Upon adoption of the within ordinance, the Municipal Clerk’s Office is hereby
directed to forward a certified copy to the Department of Transportation and include therewith a
copy of the Department of Transportation’s correspondence dated October 27, 2005.

STATEMENT

This Ordinance amends Ordinance Nos. 2005-038 and 2005-044regarding the placement of stop
signs at the intersections at Rosedale and Greenville Avenues, Rosedale and Hendrickson
Avenues, and Hendrickson and Albemarle Avenues.
