PROBLEM IN ACCOUNTING SYSTEM OF AIR LIQUIUDE INDIA

Air Liquide is the world leader in gases for industry, health and the environment, and is present in over 75 countries with 43,000 employees. In 2008, the Groups revenues amounted to 13.1 billion, of which almost 80% were earned outside France.I have been working with Air Liquide Group for last two years in Accounts & Finance department. What I observed during my this tenure is that the accounting system in the organization is not as like a MNC companys standard. There are lots of loops and flows in the systems in spite of adequate men force and lot of software related support from IT department. Management facing lot of reporting problems due to this weakness in system.

Why is the particular topic chosen ?

Since I am the part of accounts department and also I am working in the sector of Accounts & Finance for last 10+years , I personally feel that this is the area where I can make good and effective contribution for the improvement of the system When I joined this organization I have given the area where things were not under control and after making lot of hard efforts and planning now we are able to make the things as per our requirement.

Project will benefit to the all employees and workers of organization. It will help to the management to take better and effective decisions. All related department with accounts are suffering in their performance due to loops in accounting system. All customers and vendors are not satisfied with the accounting system of organization because of the payment systems and reconciliation with the organization. If we will be able to implement the system properly in organization it can improve the confidence level of the all related party, auditors, management and most importantly the employees of organization.

Objective and Scope

Main objective of the project will be to make revolutionary changes in the performance of accounting and scope is understood to make healthy accounts and able to get the correct and effective reports form the accounting. It will help to remove the disputes raised due to poor accounting system internal and external. In brief the following are the main objectives of the above said project :a) To improve the Accounting System b) To maintain the high standard of records related to accounting c) To make things smooth and realistic in terms of accounts d) Remove the grievances of vendors/customers/workers & auditors.
