The following procedure provides two means of collecting this valuable information Steps to Follow The NAS head provides two means for generating and collecting the diagnostic output. The first is to have the output mailed directly to a designated user or users. The second is to have the NAS head write it directly to a Windows Share or Unix(R) Export which is then collected by a user and emailed manually. Both methods are discussed below: It is easier to have the diagnostic output mailed directly to a designated user but this method requres that the NAS unit have access to the SMTP server and that some preconfiguration takes place prior to attempting to mail the output.
