    A CT scan of the chest with contrast was performed due to a clinical indication of comparison. Axial cuts were taken from the thoracic inlet to the diaphragm before and during intravenous contrast administration. The lungs, fissures, airways, pleura, thoracic aorta, pulmonary arteries, heart, pericardium, lymph nodes, esophagus, spine, chest wall and adrenal glands all appeared normal.

    PROCEDURE: CT CHEST CONTRAST CLINICAL INDICATION: COMPARISON: None.

    PROTOCOL: Axial 5mm cuts were obtained from the thoracic inlet down to the diaphragm and these were repeated during dynamic intravenous administration of iohexol 350. IMMEDIATE IV CONTRAST REACTIONS: No. FINDINGS: Lungs: Normally aerated and closely applied to the chest wall on all sides. No focal lesion. Fissures: Well delineated with no fissural displacement. Airways: Normal. Pleura: No pleural effusion, thickening or pneumothorax. Thoracic aorta and supra-aortic vessels: Normal. Pulmonary arteries: Normal. Heart: Normal. Pericardium: Normal. Mediastinal & Hilar lymph nodes: Not enlarged. Axillary and supraclavicular regions: Normal. Thoracic esophagus: Normal. Thoracic spine: Normal. Chest wall: Normal. Adrenal glands: Normal. REMARKS: The thoracic organs appear normal at CT.
