I BELIEVE IN THE CHURCH I believe in the church in spite of its imperfections. The church will never be perfect in this world. It is made up of people struggling to do Gods willbut people who are still human with their weaknesses and sin. I believe in the church in spite of its limitations and handicaps. Sometimes the church is hindered by lack of vision and commitment. But in spite of all of this, the church is the only agency in the world that provides a place where people can worship God. I believe in the church because it is an agency of Gods Spirit an instrument of the Eternal. It has changed through the years, and it will continue to change. It will make mistakes. But the church is still Gods chosen vessel for carrying on his work of redemption in the world.

Our sports-themed series will teach how to be a Game Changer for the Kingdom of God. Just as there are pivotal moments or plays in every ball game that can swing the outcome, there are Game Changing moments in our lives that can result in great victories for God. Kids will learn that the Bible is full of game changing moments and that there will be many opportunities in their own life to make a play or to do something that will have a huge, positive impact on their life and the life of others. But it will take courage and confidence in God to make the big play.

The Food Pantry is always in need. As we donate to those in need, we need the Pantry to be replenished. If you would like to help us, there is a list on the bulletin board of items that are always needed in the pantry. We also have a shopping cart in the foyer for you to put donated items in. Terry & Janice Burger are now helping with the Food Pantry. If you have questions, see Terry or Janice. Thanks for your help!

Pastor Jonathons Word of the Week --Love as distinct from being in love is not merely a feeling. It is a deep unity, maintained by the will and deliberately strengthened by habit; reinforced by (in Christian marriages) the grace which both parents ask, and receive, from God. ~ C.S. Lewis
