org AIA Los Angeles Welcomes Rob Hollman as the new Campaign Director for the Center of Architecture and Urban Design Los Angeles (CALA) Los Angeles, CA (May 30, 2012) The American Institute of Architecture, Los Angeles (AIA|LA) is pleased to announce the hire of Rob Hollman, as Campaign Director for the Center for Architecture and Urban Design, Los Angeles (CALA). CALA, a new home for the AIA|LA and other allied organizations, will facilitate discourse around architecture and design, development, construction, and urban planning issues to professionals in these fields as well as the general public. Were delighted to have someone with Robs capacity for understanding how to put together a campaign come on board and excited to support him in his efforts to solidify our goal of a Center of Architecture and Urban Design in Los Angeles, says Nicci Solomons, Executive Director of AIA|LA. AIA|LA and CALA 2012 Board President, Stuart Magruder, AIA adds, The CALA board is thrilled to have Rob in place to kick off our fundraising efforts for the new home for the AIA|LA and other allied organizations. We have set the bar high, with ambitious goals. Robs understanding and knowledge of the Los Angeles design and arts community will be invaluable to CALA as we embark on this challenge. Rob will implement and manage an $12-$15 million dollar capital campaign, beginning with this years public launch through to building opening and campaign completion in 2016. His hire marks the first steps in what will be very exciting times to come for Los Angeles and the architecture and design community. - more -

About Rob Hollman Rob has spent the past several years working as the Membership Manager of Individual & Corporate Giving at UCLA Live. Of the numerous accomplishments during his tenure at UCLA Live, he was responsible for closing the largest unrestricted individual gift in UCLA Live history. Rob further cultivated his fundraising experience through an array of volunteer positions with the Hammer Museum, LA Opera, LA Music Center, LACMA, as well as the LA Public Library. He earned a BA in Drama & Literature at Bennington College and attended Cornell University's Graduate School of Hotel Management.
