Usetestequipmenttodeterminethetranstemperature. 2) Thevehiclemustbelevelwith enginerunningatidlespeedandairconditioningturnedon. 3) Steponthebrakesfirmly,applyparkingbrakefullyandshifttoDandR,brieflypausingineach positionbeforeshiftingbacktotheParkposition. 4) WiththeenginerunningatidlespeedandtheselectorinParkposition,removethefillerplug.Monitor thetransmissiontemperature,ifasmallstreamofoilrunsoutat40C,thefluidleveliscorrect. 5) Ifnooilrunsoutwhenthefillerplugisremoved,thefluidlevelistoolowandoilneedstobeadded untilitoverflows. 6) Withenginerunning,installtheoilfillerplugandtightentopropertorque. B)Addingfluidafterrepairs. 1) WiththeenginestoppedandthetransmissioninParkposition,removetheoilfillerplug.

    Add transmissionfluiduntilasmallstreamofoilrunsout. 2) Insertthefillerplugandtightenbyhand.Starttheengine. 3) Withtheenginerunning,removetheoilfillerplugandaddtransmissionfluiduntilasmallstreamofoil runsout.Insertthefillerplugandtightenbyhand. 4) FollowtheTransmissionfluidlevelcheckingproceduredescribedinsection A)above. C)Notesonfluidlevelandaddingprocedure. 1) UseonlyZFLifeguardFluid6orOEapprovedtransmissionfluid. 2) Ifthetransmissiontemperaturerisesabove50Cduringthefluidlevelcheckingprocedure theresulting oillevelwillbetolow.Letthetransmissioncooldownandrepeatthefluidlevelprocedure. 3) Havetransmissionfluidandasuitableoilpumpavailablebeforestartingthefluidlevelprocedure.The transmissionfluidtemperaturewillrisequickly duringthecheckingprocedure. D)Drainandfillerpluglocation.
