OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH 1 is designed to impart understanding of the basic of safety and health in workplace setting. This course presents aspects of occupational safety and health, which are essential for employees to practice safe and healthy environment, resulting in less hazards at the workplace. Emphasis is placed on the understanding of regulations, OSH management, accident prevention and occupational First-Aid methods.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completing this course, the students should be able to:

1. Describe the OSH regulations and compliance and how it will create safe working environment.
2. identify hazards, risks and safe work practices in order to maintain healthy and safe work environment 3. perform related actions to respond to accidents at the workplace
