Objectives
The study aims to modify Teaching Methodology and Materials according to learners need. At last learners should be able to improve his communicative competence that is fluency and accuracy.

Objectives of Communication Skills in Engineering (GTU):

Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad has designed Communication Skills (110002) syllabus for Engineering students comprises of four skills as below; Listening Skills: Ability to comprehend Technical Information and follow instruction discourse. Speaking Skills: To learn spoken language strategies and express own views clearly to make G.D. and P.I. successful. Reading Skills:The ability to comprehend and interpret text at the appropriate level. Writing Skill: The ability to produce technical written text like letters, reports, proposal, memos, etc. This subject is taught with 1 hour Theory based Teaching and 2 Hours Computer based Teaching.The objectives of Practical Training are given below: To equip learners of engineering and technology with effective listening and speaking skills in English To help them develop their soft skills and people skills, this will make the transition from college to workplace smoother and help them to excel in their jobs To enhance students performance at placement interviews, group discussions, and other recruitment exercises
