Cant anyone be a hero?

A Tale of Two Cities was written by Charles Dickens, an English author who has written other great books like A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist. Without a doubt, I can say that A Tale of Two Cities is one of the greatest books Ive ever read. A Tale of Two Cities is set in England and France during the turbulent times of the French Revolution. Many themes are present in the book, such as resurrection and revenge, but I am going to explain about the theme of heroes with the help of the narrative elements characters, plot, and foreshadowing. Dickens uses the narrative elements characters, plot, and foreshadowing to create a theme demonstrating that anyone can be a hero. The narrative element characters create a theme demonstrating that anyone can be a hero. Sydney Carton sacrifices himself so that Charles Darnay can escape and this sacrifice made Carton a hero. Secondly, Charles Darnay risks his life by going to France to help Gabelle get out prison. This act of courage makes Darnay a hero. Finally, Lucie Manette nurses her father, Dr. Manette, back to health and this act of kindness make Lucie Manette a hero. The narrative element plot also creates a theme demonstrating that anyone can be a hero. First, Miss Pross delays Madame Defarge from getting into the house because if she gets into the house, she would know that the Manettes had escaped from France. While trying to get into the house, Madame Defarge gets into a fight with Miss Pross and Madame Defarge dies by a bullet from her own gun. Because Miss Pross delayed Madame

Defarge, the Manettes, Charles Darnay, and Mr. Lorry were able to escape and this makes Miss Pross a hero. Second, Dr. Manette tries very hard to free Charles Darnay from prison. Dr. Manette spends over a year trying to get Darnay out of prison. Because Dr. Manette tried so hard to free Darnay, Dr. Manette is a hero. Finally, the narrative element foreshadowing creates a theme demonstrating that anyone can be a hero. Sydney Carton promises Lucie Manette that he will do anything to help Lucie and her family. Because Carton swears that he will do anything to help Lucie, he has to, and therefore he is a hero. Secondly, Sydney Carton enters Charles Darnays prison cell to help Darnay escape from the prison and this act of selflessness make Carton a hero. In conclusion, Dickens uses the narrative elements characters, plot, and foreshadowing to create a theme demonstrating that anyone can be a hero. From writing this essay, I found out how the narrative elements characters, plot, and foreshadowing demonstrates that anyone can be a hero. As Taran, the hero in the book Taran Wanderer by Lloyd Alexander, said, Every man is a hero if he strives more for others than for himself.
