Morphing...
Do fuzzy caterpillars know theyll one day fly? Do their slimy ways ever betray the whimsy of what theyll one day become ? Do they? No. The view of dirt and stones looks drastically different from apple blossom buds and tender daisies. How can larva possibly imagine whats to come? The months of silence cocooned beneath the barky branch would never betray such beauty to come. How can it? From worm to recluse to butterfly... is there any animal that goes through such transformation? -- No. Im not suggesting Im some butterfly. But the changes that happen in me daily hint at what it must feel like. Perhaps this larval state will one day end. Perhaps this cocoon will burst open to let me fly. Perhaps... For Him alone,

Prayer & Praise

God has closed th e door on the missions debr iefing seminar in CO for the time be ing. Im sad to lose this opportun ity and ask that youd pray Ill fi nd other ways to debrief. Im lo oking for a retrea t cabin for a week or so. Does anyo ne have one they are not using? Ive been able to see al l but two membe rs of my family! Thi s is big! Please pray Im able to see the others soon . Pray for my plan e tickets to Moz. Ill be buying them soon... :- )

Catching Up...
My first week in Albuquerque, I got to spend time with two friends who worked with me in S. Sudan. One friend recently married and the other is about to finish flight school! Im happy to see how God is growing them; but more than anything, Im happy to have them in my life during this difficult transitional time. There is much to be said about having friends who have walked in the same red paths and heard the same pounding drums. What a tremendous blessing they have been in my attempts at debriefing! The following week I traveled to see a old friend that I know from when I was first saved. She and her family spoiled me with gourmet meals and tons of hugs! Its having friends like these that make the world so grand! Next Im off to WA to spend more catch-up time with friends. Ill be enjoying the cooler weather, strong coffee, and scenic views. Cant wait! For those who are as confused as I am about my schedule, dont fret. There may be no pattern to my travels but God is in it. What is more... Im learning to cope better and easing into my culture shock. Your prayers are working. Keep praying!

New Mexico
Ive just come back from a two week trip to New Mexico. In addition to spending massive amounts of time with my brothers and nephews... I got to catch up with several wonderful friends. What a blessing!
