Road Construction Causes Delays


Please be advised the NYSDOT will be intermittently closing NYS Rte. 37 just North of the intersection with NYS Rte. 342 in order to erect the bridge beams as part of the Fort Drum Connector Project. The work is scheduled for Friday, June 22nd and Thursday, June 28th and will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and plan accordingly.

A Lifeguard Certification Class is being offered at Monti Pool June 25 - 28. Call 772-4807 to register or for more information.

Memorandum Garrison Policy Memorandum #10-12, Parental Responsibilities and Supervision... for Children and Youth. Violation of this policy may subject personnel to criminal prosecution, civil liability, or termination by Mountain Community Homes of housing privileges on the installation.

Fort Drum youth who are old enough to stay home alone can make sure they are prepared! The FREE Home Alone program will teach youth ages 10 - 15 tools to insure their safety on Saturday, June 30 from 8:30 am - 3 pm at the CYS Services School Age Center. Lunch will be provided. Participants do not have to be registered with CYSS. Call 772-3677 to sign up or for more information.

Train-the-Trainer session taught by Hal Runkel, a licensed marriage and family therapist, author of ScreamFree Parenting, ScreamFree Marriage and The Self-Centered Marriage, and Founder and President of The ScreamFree Institute. The Train-the-Trainer session is scheduled for 10-11 July from 0830-1630 at The Commons. Any one taking the Train-the-Trainer session is also required to attend one of ...the two scheduled parenting classes on 11 or 12 July. Registration is currently open to anyone interested in being a certified ScreamFree Parenting trainer. ScreamFree Parenting classes are offered as part of the Family Advocacy Programs many parenting classes, and certified trainers may be asked to assist with these trainings if available.
